Hello,

I talked with Moser Engineeringhttp://www.moserengineering.comtoday and they DO NOT Re-Drill LUV rotors for five lug anymore. They said the DEMAND was to low and to labor intense to keep the process in production. The point is, if we prove to them that their is a demand for this process then maybe they will start doing it again. So help bring this process back with e-mails and phone calls. The number is (260) 726-6689 or info@moserengineering.com

Thanks

That's funny, in my quest to find a good rearend I happened to call them today about building a rearend.
If I can pump some good sales at work and justify spending some of my extra commision I may do it. I will definately use that as a tool to possibly get my rotors done? It's worth a try.

Maybe they need to give us a figure, as in how many it would take to get it done. I know of another guy and myself from our town that have called. And I saw at least two other guys post the same. So what will it take? How many people need to anti up? Or are they just trying to get us to go away peacefully and stop calling them?

If you have any good, reputable machine shops in your area, talk to them. I know plenty of people over the years that have had drums and rotors re-drilled by experienced shops and all they did was ask them if they did them. Not just Luvs, but Vega's ect. I was at the track a while back and ran into a guy that said he does them, so there are plenty of people out there that are willing to help you for the right $$$. If Moser doesn't want the business, oh well. I guaruntee you someone else does.
Just my opinion.

Hey Craig, you think Laft Hander would be able to do it? They carry hubs and rotors of all shapes and sizes, but Im not sure if they drill them themselves.

I had my hubs redrilled by Moser a couple of years ago and i would recommend that you should find somebody locally to do the job. It's not the fact that they did it wrong but i thought they would have done it a little better. One lug on each hub was mis-drilled slightly and the studs gall themselves to the lugs. The wheels spin true and i have noticed no ill effects while driving but if i have to remove a wheel, it becomes an operation to get things back together again. If i ever need to re-drill any set of hubs (regardless if Moser can do them of not), im going to find a local shop to do it. I can be more directly involved with the service and i'll save money on shipping.
