From what I've been able to figure out, the 2.3L transmission and clutch is nearly identical to that used on 1.8L and 1.9L motors. You may have a bit of mixing and matching of clutch parts to make it fit together, but it should work.

The 2.6L motor uses a bit different setup, but the bolt holes should still line up. From what I've read, there is a spacer between the motor and the transmission that is a different width between the 2.3L and the 2.6L. With the right combo of spacer, transmission, and motor a trans from a 2.6L can fit up to a 2.3L block also. And, from the paragraph above, what fits a 2.3L could be made to fit a 1.8/1.9L

The 5 speed is a bit longer than the 4 speed, so you may have to do a little fabrication work of frame crossmembers to put in the 5spd. Also, the length means the driveshaft will need to be shorter. If the 91 donor vehicle has a one piece driveshaft (no center u-joint and carrier bearing) it might fit, but you'd have to measure things to find out.
