MY dad wants to replace the axl on his Hot Rod with a newer axl, however
he is trying to keep the cost down. The measurment of the axl from backing plate to backing place is approx 51 inches. A luv axl would fit, but woudnt hold up to a Flathhead V8. Its not going to be used for racing,
but I wanted to get some input on what we could use. Possible axl that are close to that length.

This REALLY isnt my thing, I slapped a 10 bolt out of a full size Astro under my luv (not narrowed, stick hella far out), but what about a rear end from a Pinto 5.0, sorry I hate how they trashed on the Mustang name with the small bodied cars.

that would prob work. it is prob a forb 8inch. just as indestuctable as a 9inch
