Pretty much any lifting/lowering blocks will do. Just decide on 1,2,3 or 4". Got a set off ebay awhile back. Once you get the springs off the perches, test fit the block before you put everything back together. I had to do some filing on the tit that sticks up off the blocks to get them to fit right in the hole in the springs.
you can probably get them at autopart store too.

oreily auto parts and autozone have drop blocks. for the most part i think they are pretty much universal. i have some here somewhere that my cousin took off his isuzu pup about 8 years ago. who knows where they are now. from what i remember they were 2 in and looked like all the other drop blocks and lift blocks that i've seen.

The peg on the block has to fit the perch hole. Me and friend lifted his jeep the other day with blocks but the blocks he bought didn't fit the hole so we took them to the grinder and made them fit. They were some pretty soft metal too!

Cast iron isn't that soft, depending on what type of cast iron it is. Definitely harder than aluminum, unless your talking about an aluminum alloy, some of which and be very hard. I love the smell of hot metal in the morning...smells like, well...hot metal.

Just get some blocks, whatever they are made from grind down the peg if it needs it. Throw em in and enjoy your lowered ass end.

It's basically a spacer between the springs and the rear-end. The kit will have longer u-bolts to accomodate the block.

Aluminum doesn't rust. These had surface rust on them being they were used.

GOT LUV?

whatever blocks you get for the luv you will have to shave the "tits" down to get them to fit.
I had to do this to mine a long time ago when I lowered it.

I use aluminum blocks in mine :( , I don't really like aluminum. I got em from autozone, but you can get blocks from pretty much any store that sells car parts (excluding wally world and :cough: kmart). Come to think of it, if you have a Les Schwab or Big O Tires near you, they can get em too. If you wish to use cast iron (which my friends and I usually do), what you can do is sand them down to a "clean" finish, spray them with tough stuff engine enamel, then toss em in the oven for a hour at a low temp. This will set the paint and will help it hold up, we do this with all of our lift/lowering blocks. My friends 98 Dodge pickup is lifted high enough for me to park my bed under his bumper, as is his 39 dodge pickup, that old thing is lifted up there too. The "TITS" are sometimes refered to as nipples, which on a luv almost always have to be ground down to fit.

Im not saying there is anything wrong with alum., I just always use to use cast iron blocks. Pretty much, if you want it done cheap get alum. blocks for the @$$, and torsion the nose down. Simple, and I can get 4.5"blocks here for 27 bux with bolts and all. Unfortunately, I havent seen 4.5" blocks anywhere except one store in Boise, but I don't think you wanna go that low. MAJOR POINT: dont do what the former owner of my LUV did, DO NOT use an air gun to drop the torsion, things start to strip and round off, thats why mine settles down to the drivers side

I have aluminum blocks on mine. they have been there for over 10 years.
no problems on this end.
those "tits" you are wondering about help locate the rear end on the leaf springs.
