I heard that a luv will fit on an s-10 frame with some modifications. I thought about getting a donor s10 with the 2.2 l engine and ditching the body and using everything i can from it oon the luv. Will a 94 and up s10 work or does it have to be an older model?

i would guess that the older s10 would be very similar to the luvs, but the newer frames would require quit a bit of fabrication. might be easier to stick the 2.2 in the luv.

The 2nd gen s10 frames are very similar to the first gen frames only they have Better designed torsion bar mounts and frames are boxed.
I know a guy who put a '95 s10 frame under a '82 S10 with no trouble at all other than the bumper mounting brackets being different.

2wd S-1os have coil springs not torsion bars. Maybe 4wds do, wouldnt know, never owned a 4wd S-10. If you re looking to do a 2wd, it would be a good swap. Opens a whole world for easy suspension mods with all the bolt on bag stuff thats out there.

Since he said its got a 2.2 on it he's talking about a 2wd frame. (thats what i get for not reading well before i reply)

2wd S10s have coil springs
