the torsionbars are cranked and the bumps are gone and there is 3 inch blocks in the rear but i would like to ride better im considering the mustang 2 front end looks much less goofy in the long run not to mention any one considered air ride on a luv that would be cool

You could probably fit air bags on the front if you wanted - I know you can on the rear.

I've never done it on a torsion bar type suspension but i am sure it could be done.

I know for a fact that you can on the mustang II.

Almost all lowrider mags have really good tech articals on the subject.

They make a air ride bolt in setup for the Mustang ll frt.end as well as coil overs.Either would give you a lot of adjustment and still keep enough travel.
I had other places I needed to put ny money so I used Pinto springs for now.I had to go back and get the with OUT air conditioining springs and I am still going to have to cut a round out of them to get the lower control arms level.
I will probably go with coil overs later as I am in the process of a 4 link and 9" at the moment.

Thought I'd send you this reply from my question to Rod, but take note this is in Aussie Dollars, so it would be even cheaper for you guys as the Oz dollar is worth about .58 US at the moment. I'm waiting for a reply from Tubular Suspension Systems for a bag set-up, but I'll keep yas posted,,,,

If I was fitting a LUV with a different front end it would be the L300 Mitsubishi as drop axles are available, they are strong, take up less room, they cost less and a power rack and pinion could be used. They can be fitted with power steering and Leyland P76 discs can be fitted to get the width right down. Such a unit could be built for under $2000.00 with new discs and fitting kit, rack and pinion kit, drop axles, new bearing and seals and it would all be assembled.
