I’m fixing up a old broken down 1982, got it almost road worthy and went to change the thermostat just as a precaution and found that the housing (lower) the part you drop the thermostat into the left side had snapped off and had been repaired by the former owner with JB weld, well it broke apart when I removed the top housing... soooo I’m looking for the lower housing.

If anyone has the part number I would be forever in your debt.

It’s the part that the water pump hose connects to.
It has 4 bolts that screw into the front of the engine.

Thanks in advance

Surprise, I’m the same guy that gave you the parts photos at Facebook. Try contacting JoeIsuzu on this forum, he might be your best bet for a source

Got your PM, and sent you a couple of sources.

Our supplier is a retired Isuzu guy who had kept ordering parts from them over the years. His health isn't good lately, so he's having keeping up with emails. But I know he just got a shipment of these housings. Nobody had seen new ones available for YEARS.

A few years back, he got the very last dashboard the factory had.

By the way, have replaced your timing belt yet?

Jack
