I've been trying to find a set of slot mags for the Luv project, and options seem pretty limited for 6 lugs.

I found a set of 14x7 for sale which would fit right in with the 80s vibe I want for the truck. They have 3.5" backspacing.

How well will these fit? This is a stock front end and stock rear end with a stepside transplant.

I would appreciate the expert advice of forum members.

Howdy,
Being they are 14" and 6 lug chances are they were made to fit a small truck. Backspacing sounds right. See if you can find some tires before you buy them though. I remember having a hard time finding 14" tires when I had them. Plus finding vintage aluminum wheels is a challenge after all of the recycling that goes on.

Thanks for the feedback.

Tire Rack lists BFG Radial T/As in 245-60-14 and 205-60-14, and the raised white letters would match the slots just right.

I decided it was too far to drive for those wheels. I found a set of 14x5.5 close by. I'll use two of them for fronts, and keep looking for some 7" for the rear. If anyone is interested, the 14x7 slots I was looking at are in Dayton, OR. He has them advertised on Facebook Marketplace. He's got some 14x6 advertised too.

I'll be looking for a good deal on some 14x7 or 15x7 slot mags for a good price if anyone sees any come up.

Hi Glenn, Are you planning on selling the 2 ,14 inch slot mag rims you didn't use? If so would you be willing to ship them? I need them for the front of my Luv truck.
Thanks, Al

Is this a 1st gen or 2nd gen LUV?

BTW, my wife and I visited Lincoln City back in January. Not sure if that's near you. We have a son in Salem.

It's a 72. I'm quite a ways from Lincoln city.

I don't think I want to sell them yet Al. One has pretty significant lug nut damage anyway. Last I checked there was still an ad on Facebook Marketplace for some in Salem.
