Email Jerry Lemond at the above address. He had both new & used at one time, I went with new so no resurfacing. Your truck should use the 6-bolt flywheel with the 8-1/2" clutch, not the 8" clutch, but confirm, the clutch bolt patterns are different. If your truck happens to have the 8" clutch flywheel go ahead & upgrade to the 8.5" flywheel & clutch, direct bolt-on upgrade.
You can buy via PayPal. He will also have flywheel bolts if you think you need new ones.
If you want to go with used the flywheel from any G200Z 1.9L engine is 6-bolt/8.5" clutch, for the G180Z 1.8L engine all 2wd & '79 4wd is 6-bolt/8" clutch, '80-on 4wd only is 6-bolt/8.5" clutch. The 2.3L 4ZD1 & 2.0L 4ZC1 use a 8-bolt flywheel with the same 8.5" clutch that won't fit a G200-G180Z crank, don't let someone sell you one of these.

No, they don't.
Rockauto's is the 8-bolt flywheel for the 4Z## series engine, not the 6-bolt flywheel for the G180-G200Z series engines. Every parts supplier that I have checked (including Fidanza) offers this same 8-bolt flywheel, it simply won't bolt up to a G-series 6-bolt crank. I've tried to explain this to more than one supplier, their response is their supplier says it will fit, therefore it must. I suspect the confusion lies in that the G200Z & 4ZC1 engines are both considered & often referred to as 2.0L engines & are quite close to the same cc displacement but are two completely different engines. To further the confusion both engines/flywheels us the same 8.5" clutch. The 8-bolt flywheel will fit the 2.0L 4ZC1 but not the 2.0L G200Z.

That's odd about the flywheel from rockauto because that's where I got mine from. Within the last year or so.

But now they don't list them. Weird.

To diesel owners: are the diesel C223 & gas G200Z flywheels the same? I know they both use the same clutch & I think the diesel has a 6-bolt crank like the gas, but are they somehow different, like a different diameter or weight or ring gear tooth count?

That question will need to be answered by somebody who is familiar with both the diesel and the gas engines. You're correct, the diesel has a 6-bolt crank, but that's all I can tell you.

The C223 diesel and G180 gasser fly wheels are completely different and will not interchange between each other.

Hey Jack, Thanks for the email to Jerry Lemond.
He sold me a brand new one still in cosmoline.
It looks great. I can continue with the build.
