Good stuff, looks awsome. My dash is in bad bad shape, would one of the caps make mine look good for temp fix? I'm talking most of its missing on top by the vent. I want a whole dash but 400 is alot for me at the moment.
I can vouch for the recap, installed one on my previous Luv, current 79 has one and have seen a few other's before with them. My 77 had a large area missing just above the intruments back then I used some simple foam to fill it in.
If I was repairing one now I would use this stuff
http://www.60xcustomstrings.com have used it before to repair 3D archery targets, the stuff is amazing, little tricky to work with at first. Easy to trim back to final shape, once set it takes on a consistency of the foam that is usualy found under padded dashes with a little more give. I've even thought that if one was creative enough, it could be moulded very closely as it sets and covered with vinyl.
I've used this product before on my kid's school projects and it's super easy to work with and shape. It doesn't seem to have a very good shelf
