So I got bored one day started searching CL and found a gem for sale at a very good price $700, so decided to bite the bait. That was 2 months ago since then I acquired a LT1 t56 for $650 and a rebuilt 74 350ci for $500. I am only waiting on some powerbyace mounts so I can drop my engine and tranny in and see how the mount for the tranny is gonna work. I plan on posting pics and updates as I go along, any advice would be I'd be thankful for or if I can answer any questions I'd be glad to help.

Good lookin truck.

You may have an issue with that transmission. The shifter on the t56 is pretty far back and may put the shifter close to the back wall. Might want to do some measuring before you commit to that setup.

The thing that made me the most excited about this truck, the t56 itself. The guy I got it from snapped two spark plugs off in the block so he did an entire engine/tranny swap. Worked out just good for me at $700 only had 65k miles.

That is going to be a heck of a good time. That's a steal on the t56 those things are becoming a huge pain to find

Ya I know it even came with a old clutch (not going to use) and a lt1 flywheel so if anyone needs a lt1 flywheel its free. The only thing I had to do to mate the t56 and engine was a very expensive Centerforce Steel Flywheel PN:700107.
