Peeps of da net...few questions, which have probably already been answered. Can not find a 86-87 to rob from,so...was thinking about using a 90 pickup.I want to use everything....motor,trans,rearend. Few questions. Will the motor drop right in without having to move the motor mounts? Will the rear end go in without alot of hassle like the 86-87? Is the rear end same width? All other obsticles I think im already aware of....thank you kind peeps

Rear axle assembly on a '76 is 54" WMS to WMS, '88-on is 58". If your rear is 4.56 ratio just swap in a later model 4.10 ratio 3rd member & retain the narrower axle assembly. The 2.3 engine/cable clutch MSG-5 tranny from a '90 is the same as a '86-'87, so if you're aware of the problems encountered with a '86-'87 swap the '90 swap will be the same. A '90 2.6 engine/hydraulic clutch MUA-5 tranny swap will be a different story.
