New to the forum. Recently purchased an 80 Luv stepside with an 8 year old paint job that is flawless. The truck is rustfree. Can't say much about the other items. Have replaced the wheel cylinders, calipers, master cylinder, pads and shoes. Turned the rotors and drums. The rebuilt booster will be in next Tuesday.
I've removed the interior which is original and sprayed the door panels and seat fabric leaving the Vinyl the original color. The interior is in excellent condition, fabric wise. Just faded due to age. The dash is another issue. It is cracked with 1/2" gaps exposing the metal support underneath. Have any of you ever installed the pre-molded plastic cover which is on the market for about $80? I'm about to install pre-molded carpets from the same company that are a perfect fit. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. My expertise is in Model T's. This little truck is a new venture for me and I think it's gonna be another money hole.

I installed the cover in mine years ago and it looked good.

The dash cover drummer is referring to was still in great shape. ( i now have the truck). The lower section of the dash was cracked, so I used the dash out of a parts truck and installed a new cap on it. It looks and fits as well as the other one did originally...

Link to my build thread page that you can sort of see the cap...

I bought the carpet kit from Stockinteriors.com. Its moulded to every dip and bump in the floor. Leave it lay out flat for a couple days. Bob
