I had a dually run into my garage recently and damage the front end of my 72. The insurance company wants part prices to do the repair but, I'm not able to find a early bumper or valance at any price. Anyone doing any custom or one off pieces that I can get a price on? I think I can get the bumper rechromed if I have to. The valance is the problem. Any ideas?

Someone on this site used to make early repro front valances. Can't remember who.

In any case, 72-75 are the years that match yours. You're not likely to find an acceptable 72-75 bumper anywhere reasonably, so if you can get yours repaired, that'd be the way to go.

Early stuff is easier to find out west. Where are you located?

I understand your problem. I've been searching for a bumper and valance for my 74 for a long time, preferably close enough to not have to pay crazy shipping prices, and I've had no luck. Hopefully someone on here can be of some assistance.

There is at least one place that makes fiberglass hood and fenders, but not bumpers and headlight bezels, etc. Your best option is probably shopping for used parts

I'm located in Eastern KY. Not exactly a mecca for anything automotive. Looks like the closest chromer to me is Columbus Ohio.
