I thought about starting it, didn't follow through. It's kind of sad I haven't drove it in 4 months or so.

Carb problems on my street truck project, stupid Holley... I think I found the problem, but when I reinstalled it the rear float was too high and the it looked like a volcanic eruption out the overflow tube. I adjusted it, and cleaned up the gas off the intake, just need to change the oil now before I see if it is finally right. Funny thing is though, I never messed with the back bowl or the float...

Got the 79 Luv out and drove it to work on Saturday. Then Sunday ordered the new electronic ignition to follow up the new Weber carburetor install over the summer. Next up getting it ready to tuck away in storage for the winter months.

Where you get the electronic ignition? I just got a 79 luv 4x4 and it was working fine one minute, then the next no start. get juice out of the coil, but nothing to the spark plugs. I'm new to gassers after having diesel truck for so long now :)

Called Weber and ordered carb kit and regulator. Just had to try rebuilding the Original one more time. Hopeless.

I had a hard time finding rebuild kit with pistons. Machinist preferred 20 over. Found them on ebay NOS

Changed rear gear from a 500 to a 477 for more mph. Maybe now we can beat those pesky street outlaws.
