She's a '79 Chevy luv 4x4 and I'm in luuuuvvvvvvvv!
Been tinkering around with her for a little bit and here's some general info.
I'm the second owner, have original receipt from 1979. I have a weber carb on there, not sure what model. Pacesetter header and offenhauser intake. 3 inch body lift with 31" all terrains. Custom rhino lining inside and out.

I've been replacing little things to try to have some preventative maintenance peace of mind. The latest I did this weekend was strut rod and sway bar bushings along with 2 new belts and 2 new fuel filters.

My first headache that happened was yesterday. I was driving down the highway probly 65 or 70 and it cut out and had to pull over. I noticed there was not really any gas in the fuel filter leading to carb. Is it possible to get air in the fuel line. Even when running properly it seems like the old fuel filter was always filled with gas and the new one fills to about halfway and you can sometimes see little bibles come through it. Is there a way to get air out of fuel line?

Any help would be great and looking forward to hearing from y'all!
Thanks in advance!

Weber will be marked along the base saying what it is like "32/36 DGEV"
as far as air in the fuel line I would check for cracked fuel line probably in the tank along the pickup tube. Most likely low in the tank so it would be under the fuel until you got below however much in the tank.

Post some pics!

WELCOME LUVaustin :)

When you changed the filters by chance did you cut them open to see the crud going thru them ?
It could tell you if your in need of chasing the fuel lines and or dropping & cleaning out the tank.

if you go that route or still having flow issues ....
with the lines disconnected @ both ends I've blown air back toward the tank blowing out any debris.

Thanks for the quick replies!
The previous owner claims he dropped and cleaned the tank. At first glance the fuel lines/hoses don't seem to be in bad shap as far as cracking/leaking. Also I didn't take the fuel filter apart but the one closest to the take was leaking out some pretty cruddy brownish gas from the intake side once I took it off so maybe he didn't clean it real good?
Also I skimmed over something on here about swapping control arms with izusu trooper arms and "reindexing" torsion bars. I think this will be my next weekend project to help with my camber issues and harsh ride over speed bumps. My local junk yard says they have an 86 izusu trooper II as in the second gen trooper. Will these control arms work? If so I'm headed strait to the yard this weekend to get started!
As always thanks in advance for helping me put a little loovvee in my luvvvv!

Oh yes, and pictures!!
I'll add more soon of interior
