Well ive had a few slow days at work and i was able to work on my fenders. I used some of that jasco epoxy remover to remove the bedliner crap from the fenders. It worked pretty good but still had a rough time getting it off.

Tax refund came and i was finally able to put some money in to the luv. I was never able to figure out why the charging system wasnt working properly so i took it to a auto electric shop in stockton. They fixed all the electrical on it so now im running and got the luv on the road. They told me i wasnt getting any ignition power to the regulator, they also fixed my turn signals, and my back up switch. Ill be putting in my weber and my intake later on this week.

Hey Juan,
Can anyone write on these threads or you keeping all the comments to yourself... ..j/kin

I just seen that this one was yours & happen to catch the manual encouragement comment ..THANKS
You'll see it will help shine more light in what areas your working on....

I have been thinking about starting one as well... as soon as i sort out this scattered hard drive. i'll start one up

Do you have more than 1 LUV(74)
one for you girl maybe ?? Sounds like it when you wrote "Well I've been working on her luv this year"

Did you ever get the off manifold on ..I believe it does take adapters ..the ones that were made/sold thru here came w/ hardware kit.
I have gotten one yet...got one lined up should have it next month or so..after next smog i'll pull that stuff and try it smog-less between smog test.

Hello fellow luv’ers, it’s been a long time since I’ve been on here asking for help. My truck has been sitting for about a year now.

The clutch master cylinder went out and I didn’t decide to fix it then when it happened so I did over the weekend but I have an issue now. The transmission is stuck in gear, if I push the clutch in it releases but it’s still in first gear and I still can’t get it out of gear and as soon as I let the clutch back in it wants to take off driving but dies right away.

Do you guys think that the transmission is toast? Or something else??

I’m able to roll it back and forward if I have the clutch in though. And even when I put the clutch in it still won’t come out of first gear.

Maybe the clutch isn't fully disengaging enough to let the tranny out of gear? I can't imagine how a transmission would break while just sitting there. If you know the MC was bad that'd be my first thing to dig into maybe try bleeding it again?

I decided to work on the luv over the weekend I unbolted the gearshift lever and even that was stuck. It didn’t slide right out like it’s supposed to so then I decided to the cap that’s under that so I took the 4 bolts off and I still couldn’t remove the shifter then after playing with it and rocking it side to side it popped out and I noticed that it was jammed in one of the gear rods so then I lined up the rods put it back together and I was able to put it in N R and then in 1-2-3-4 I was really happy!! Then I drove it around the block and it seemed really good but then but now I need to bleed out my breaks.

Well drove the luv to my sisters house last weekend and put in the new bed on the luv. I got it about year and half ago up in Rio Linda for I think 300 bucks I can’t remember now. The bed is rust free and has no dents on it. Now I just need to swap out the cab that I have for it too.
