Hello. This is my first time visiting this forum, so I hope I'm posting in the correct place.

I have a 1981 LUV. It has 74,400 original miles. Unfortunately, we just don't have time for it and it is sad to see it waste away in our garage. We have listed it for sale for $1,900. Just wondering if my price is reasonable.

The body is in great shape with no rust. The gas gauge does not work, it does not have power steering (it was purchased without it), the A/C works, and the tires have quite a bit of tread left.

I know there is a niche for these trucks, so I would appreciate any feedback you can give. Thanks!

Seems like a reasonable price to me. Good luck with the sale...

You didn't mention if it's gas or diesel, but I don't see a diesel emblem and you said "gas gauge" (some diesel drivers call theirs a "gas gauge") but it just seems like you'd have mentioned diesel if that's the case.

Generally, the 2nd gen gas LUVs tend to top out around $1,500 unless they're in primo condition. Yours is kinda hard to tell. Although the paint is oxidized, you said it's rust-free--and that's a HUGE plus. And the miles are way low, so that's a big plus. I agree, your price is "in range" for the condition it appears to be. You may also want to list it on the IsuzuPup.com site.

If it's diesel (and not an automatic), you can add about another $1,500 to the market value.

Location is important, so you should list yours. And post more photos here--inside, under-hood, under-body, dash, upholstery, etc.

Looks like a nice rig.

You can't post too many photos. Definitely should show the following
Exterior:
Front, rear, both sides and bed
Interior:
Seats, gauge cluster, head liner, floor and dash pad.

And at least one photo of the engine bay.

Also, a couple photos of the frame (particularly the area behind the cab) would be very helpful. The frames are prone to terminal rust.

Completely pristine examples of these trucks almost non-existent and LUV/P'UP people know what to look for, so full disclosure of any issues is always the best policy.
