Work is slowing me down greatly on the truck. I have removed the driver side rocker, and that side has at some point hung on a stump, it looks like. I removed the inner structure as well from the donor panel and I have that in place to repair the stump damage, and the rocker ready to weld in when I get a chance. I woke up WAAYYY to early this morning and went back to the yard where i got the grille and bezels and cut the front of the yard truck off, pretty sweet deal and in excellent shape. I will transfer it after I finish the rocker...

How is the floor in the bed? I have wondered about putting a wood floor like the older style trucks in a Luv, even a regular bed.. since it is a driver I am not sure the weight of the floor would matter..

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

Yes mine to. I just thought it would look cool. Especially if you show it. I did see a diamond plate one somewhere.

Got back on this some today. I got the driver side rocker roughed in, and a cab corner section on that side also. Then I removed the front (I hate spot welds, lol) and opened up the front of the replacement for the larger radiator and roughed it in as well. I hung the fwenders on each side and made the measurements for the new one the same as the old one and had the fenders help hold it while i welded it in...

It has a divorced filler neck to go around the newly installed and modified core support...

And I removed about a million unused brackets and welded up holes in the firewall, and filled in where the slave cylinder and brake booster was today before work, slowly coming along...

After searching for some factory LUV bucket seats and coming up empty handed on people willing to ship, I checked the parts stash and found these...

Those are out of a 66 Chevelle I have. After taking the pic, I started bolting them in. Made a spacer for the inside front and outside rear tracks, and the passenger side test fit is comfy, so I will roll with them...

Got all the grinding done on the outside and the inside minus a couple of pin holes and the seat holes in the floor I won't be needing. Plan to take care of them tomorrow...

Nice seats to have laying around. Those would cost $400 plus out here and wouldn't be as nice as yours. 8)

Thanks. Seats were already out of the car when I got it. I put them in storage until now. I wish the rest of the car was as nice...

Don't look like much, but I slaved away most of the day at it. FInished the bucket seat install, then I dragged it outside and turned it around, decided to leave it outside for a while to work on it (back inside now). POS Sandblaster I got I used to work on the inner fenders, and I finished smoothing the firewall. Then I removed the glass. Then I started applying the paint stripper. I am not one to go to bare metal unless needed, but the truck already has several coats of paint...

Ugh I hate blasting, but it works better than sanding. Have you tried black diamond media? They have it at tractor supply. Sand will give you silicosis.
