Yes , this is the "old" motor with the exhaust leaks . I would call it solid at this point .

So what are the details for scoring the trophy? ET, competition, Ect? You really put together a backup plan that really worked out with the old motor. 8)

If you think about it, that is "very Cool". You have to spend a lot of money, work your butt off. You have stretch your brain to learn new stuff. And to top it off, you aren't going to go out there the first day and win anything. For those who actually get there it takes years. So my hat is off to anyone who can make the journey and be successful against formidable opponents who will destroy you if at all possible. I mean that in the nicest possible way. :ebiggrin

Heres how it went down . First 2 tt were on a hair trigger with my .5 set up in it . Put .020 in the Apex long throw and let'er eat .

1st round
Image
2rd round I was .036 to his .039 double break out mov.004
Image
3rd round
Image
4th round slower car went red and i lost concentration ( a win is a win)
Image
5th round good light
Image
6th round truck chattered the tires and wasn't going to run the number . He came around me and started backing up ,.... until he heard the 200 shot ! Hence the MPH

Image
round 7 got this guys team mate in round 5 with the good light . Alot of talk about money and lanes . Set up conservative to be green .

I park around a bunch of guys i went to high school with , but they live 45 minutes away from me . We kinda help each other with parts and stuff . pretty much just me . A buddy of mine Rodger tries to help . He was having back issues that day . I was on my own pretty much . Im always on my own when it comes to working on the truck .... motor swaps and stuff . I keep the truck going in a regular 20 x 24 2 car garage . I have come to realize i will never have that big shop some dream of . I work rotating shift and during the day when my wife is working i stay busy with the truck . I do have a stray cat that hangs around and watches though  Here are the group of people i park with and their kids and family and who knows who all jumped in for this one . I'll try and remeber the best i can the names . Left to right =Tony (Rodger brother ) ,girl ( wife of guy in grey) , Guy in grey , Daniel ( Bob's son? ) , Brenin ( Thomas' son) , Me , Brittany ( Thomas' daughter she drives a fullsize dragster and is part of the crew) , Bob's daughter , Stephnie ( she drove the my S-10 sunday Thomas' girlfriend) , Rodger ( tries to help alot obvious back issues in picture ) , Thomas ( has a Nova) , David ( good dude 70' Camaro) , Bob 68' Firbird .
