I had a 79 4x4 Mikado back before I was old enough to drive, sold/traded it off before I ever got my license. Just picked up a 1978 LUV flat bed dually 20 years later.
Has had a cheap teal paint job covering some rust, 231 Buick V6 and auto trans. Truck was originally auto so it looks at home. Factory produced steel flatbed. The dually conversion is unique in that it's all in the wheels. first wheel bolts onto the hub, second wheel bolts onto the first using seperate studs. I'll have more pics soon and will start a build thread. Plans are to get it running and rock it as is. Fixing rust issues as I go along of course.
A little about me. I'm a sucker for J-Tin and it all started in 1998 with an 89 Conquest that I still own. Couple dozen later, I've branched out in brand loyalty. Currently own a 72 Celica, 4 StarQuests, 2 Dodge Raiders (one diesel), and recently bought my 13 year old son a 70 Hilux. Also have more not so traditional autos, 92 Escort V6, 66 Rambler station wagon, LS2/T56 swapped Canyon, and a 1UZ powered 34 Ford pickup, all in various states of restoration. None quite complete because of...Squirrel!
