Replaced all the usual electrical stuff and the fuel pump -- any tricks on tuning the carb on a 76 Luv? truck  used to run fine until the fuel pump failed now needs a lot of gas pedal action and has a hard time starting cold and warm lots of cranking and will stall.

sounds like you need a new accelerator pump to me. :twisted:i would just put a complete kit in it. you might have some varnish buildup in the idle passages from sitting. so let it soak in some carb cleaner.my .

mine was doing the same thing. when i disassembled the carb and started looking for cracks and such, i found a build up of black carbon looking stuff in the primary and secondary air bleeds. it still runs slightly rough but it runs 10 times better. i also had to replace the fuel pump relay(universal relay at autozone) and the inlet filter screen. seemed to help alot.
