Hey there, I was looking for a good body ideally, but seeing as I live in Australia it's a bit of a tough call getting anything LUV wise.
The fenders & bonnet (hood), grille, bumper & all the glass that I have are in great condition,,, chassis, engine, wiring etc also pretty good too, doors are repairable.
Most people would say why bother, but the little LUV truck is quite unique here in Oz & I just love the shape. It's a 1976 model 2x4 that runs & stops, has a 1.8 litre engine, 4 speed manual & already has custom 'Genie' exhaust headers with a 2 1/4" pipe & free flow muffler,,, sounds pretty kewl
Engine wise is pretty much done, but somebody who owned it before me permanently ceased the butterfly on the secondaries,,, they thought it would make it more ecconomical??? and rather than stuff around with that I was thinking of twin side draft Webbers or Delrotto.
I have a couple of early 1950's sedans I'm building, so they are the priority, but the LUV is a side project that I would LUV to get done at some stage for some fun. So any assistance with chasing down rust repair parts would be appreciated.
