I have looked and looked for drag shocks to bolt to the rear but cant find anything. Just for now my plan was to find a decent cheap set of drag shocks an slapper bars then eventually switch to a coil over caltrac or ladder bar setup. Its got a ford 8.8 out of a ranger going in it. Will shocks for an s10 work???

You can get a set of rancho 9000's, if you just want adjustable shocks and are keeping the leafs for now. You are gonna need some type of slapper bar, and most of those have the lower shock mounts on them. The upper mounts may need to be modded, depends on the shock you get...

Sounds good I'll have to check into that thanks. Yeah the game plan for now is to buy them $50 universal slapper bars, bolt on a pair drag shocks to the rear an just see what happens. I really don't want to get rid of the leafs. I'd like to keep it as stock suspension as possible. It's gonna be makin roughly 550hp on motor an about 625-650hp after nitrous an thats all gotta be transfered to 275/60/15 drag radials. Cheap may not workout to well ha.

I definetly want to do the coil over swap on the front.
Any idea on what then length they should be an type of coil spring?

Sorry for the ignorence, this is my first luv truck build ha.

I usually get the coilovers second hand, and fab mounts to work. There are a couple of threads with part numbers floating around here, but i don't remember which ones right off...
