i just got me a 1979 chevy luv 4x4 im wondering were exactly are the bolts at? there not showing through the bed and how many are there?

I had the same exact question when I got mine, there are 12, which I think is a stupid amount for such a small truck, they are just lined up from front to back on both sides, I can try and post pictures for you tomorrow

alright sounds good because they dont go through the bed which is wierd

makes sense to me, the bolt heads cant get damaged if they aren't hit by crap In the bed.
but yes they are just off the frame rails on each side and pretty easy to get to I took my bed off in around an hour. make sure you unbolt the fuel filler tube and the wiring for the taillights before you start tugging on it :lol:

Also don't forget the tubes up to the fuel vapor expansion chamber, its under that mysterious metal cover in the front drivers side of the bed on the inside.

Spare tire will get in your way too if its still in when you try to pull the bed.
