 Post subject: Valve Cover torque?

I just replaced my valve cover gasket, and i torqued the bolts to ten feet pounds for now, but does anyone know what they should be at? i have a manual and it doesnt have the specs for the valve cover.

I have always just tighten them tight, I have never torqued a valve cover. I do think there is a torque value but most of us just use common sense.

I'm not OP but it's easy man. Maybe one of the easiest gaskets to replace on a car.

Anyhow,
1. Unscrew bolts and remove cover
2. Peel off old gasket
3. Wipe mating surfaces
4. Place new gasket
5. Replace cover
6. Re-tighten bolts
