I'm having trouble finding a 84-86 Trooper to salvage the upper control arms, would the ones from an 86 Pup work?

Thanks

So I think I found my answer, an 83-86 troopers upper control arms will work, and the ones from a pup from 81- 87 or 88 should also be the same.

Would like to do this to my 4x4, but Troopers are a bit hard to find around here.

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=20927&p=152204&hilit=isuzu+ball+joints#p152204

Years ago, (ouch) I had a 85 Nissan 4x4, put a three inch body lift on it along with helper springs and torqued the torsion bars up and managed to get 33's on it. Problem was there was no good way to fix the camber issue which was really bad, so eventually I had to loose the 33's and settle on 31's. During this same time my cousin had a 81 or 82 4x4 LUV that he put a 3" body lift on, over time the metal around the cab body bolts started to crack and became a bit of a problem, not sure what he did to fix it.

I'm thinking of pulling the body lift off mine, (was not done well to begin with) and just do a slight suspension lift. It looks like changing the upper control arms and ball joints might do this without having the major problem of the tires "Butterflying"

The UCAs must be from an '84-'86 Trooper, '84 was the first year for
Troopers, '86 was the last year with the correct length- '87 & newer are too long.
'88 & newer pickups also went to a longer UCA than '87 & older.
Moving the ball joint from the top of the UCA to the bottom has the same effect as lengthening the UCA slightly & allows the camber to be corrected after an extreme lift- which causes the top of the tire to lean in. If the lift is severe enough add a spacer to lower the ball joint even more.

ok so wouldnt longer arms be better for a lift what mean is put a longer arm top and bottom by same amount then re index the torsion bar s nothc the the lower arm for half shaft clearance and lower the front diff to match angles for stock put a longer bump stop in so wheel wont travel up in to fender and possible a longer shock mabe not a longer throw but a longer boddy shock
