New guy here!

Looking at buying a 1980 Luv for $250.00. Owner went thru engine and came up with this

"New head gasket. New water pump. New belts. New pan and valve cover gaskets.new plug wires. New oil and filter. Ran well two weeks ago. Electric choke and carburetor issues. Needs oil pump and battery"

Anybody have input on the problems listed? He says you can hear the oil pump ticking when it runs. Stated that when he pulled the engine to replace gasket he didnt know about oil pump till he had engine back in. Is that hard to fix and does the engine need to come back out?

Engine is gas 1.8L. 5 speed 4x4. Sorry don't know much more at this time. I want to use it as a daily driver till the snow flies.

It's only a 4sp unless some one has swapped in a 5sp.
The oil pan must come off to replace the oil pump, can you drop it with the engine in the vehicle? My guess is the front drivetrain is in the way.
