So here is my problem i just installed a rebuilt head on my 1981 luv 1.8l and i have run into a few problems. the truck runs and started right up. i just need to fine tune a few thing and don't know where to go or what to do so here they are Problem number one i plugged off the egr don't know what all i need to do if plugging it off is enough or what. second problem the luv that i have doesn't have the fuel canister and there are only 2 fuel lines off the tank the other ones are bent closed. Also i don't know if i have all the vacuum lines installed right. The last and major problem i have at least i think its a problem is with engine running with oil fill plug removed there is a lot of pressure coming out but when i place the plug or a piece of paper over the fill hole it is no pushing it away and it starts to suck it in . Just what to say thank you to any one that give me there time even if it is just reading this tread i really appreciate it.

I'm not sure if I followed your entire situation but I will take a stab at a couple issues. You can plug the EGR and also take off the air pump and the rail on the head. To plug the holes where the air rail was I just cut the sleeves off the air rail that screwed into the head, shoved ( I think a 5/16 bolt into the sleeve, brazed it in place and then screwed it back in the hole. The fuel lines bent closed could possibly be the ones connected under that cover in the bed of the truck. You might want to check that. Pressure coming out of the fill hole....that is cometimes blowby (worn rings) are you getting any oil in your breather?
