My luv
It will run for awhile and then stop. Start it back up and then it will stop.

The gen light is "off"
If I keep my foot on the accelerator it won't stop.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

If its stock, it might be the idle cut off solenoid on the carb. Or where it gets its power from.

i have had the same problem 5 times for 3 different reasons...
had a fuel pump fail and it was just starving out but would get a bit of fuel then die again
just had to replace my ignition switch because it was shot and heated up and failed inside after a few miles of driving and would start and stop intermittantly,
and also had the same issue over and over with the stock carb and a replacement stock carb before i finally bought a weber 32/36 with electric choke now that all of that is done truck runs great

Do a search for the fuse box fix. A lot of times issues like you are having come down to problems with resistance in the fuse box. Its easy and its free and every LUV owner should do the fix. Good luck
