This is one of my ideas. Its original to me as far a I know. I thought I would share it before I could try it myself.

Years ago a buddy had a toyota 4x4. He found that the rectangular headlights were a direct swap for a certain motorcycle lamp. These lamps are at least twice as bright as car lights.

So. this spring i plan on going to the motorcycle shops and finding two sets of those Yellow round lamps (77 luv has 4 lights) and trying to make them work. I havent checked on the legality. But since I run around usually in daylight, who cares. My truck is Dodge Viper yellow, so this will probably look great.

If anyone knows if this will work or not, tell us!

yeah that could work.
I think they make yellow covers you can put over the headlights as well.
if I come across any I will let you know.

I think it would look TRIIIIICK!!!!!!

Dang, cool idea. I've never been too happy with the headlights on the LUV's, even after my rewiring job they seem weak compared to other cars.

Those parts you found should fix the problem for sure.

This is an idear which I haven't check in full yet. But I work for a parts store which is Bow Wow VW stuff. But I carry bosch stuff and bosch makes a 7inch round (this is what I have to make shure of) and 5 inch round headlight with removable h4 bulbs in it that you could 80/100 wat bulbs. Plus they make a little second bulb that fits inside the housing that you can put city lights in it. But as soon as I take one out of my 76 that is what I plan on putting back in.
