Nice looking truck and the build is comming along nice!
Reminds me when I dropped a 327 in mine!
I used the Hooker headers also.
What radiator are you using?
I've always had a bit of cooling issues.

Thanks for posting the pictures!

I have an after market Welded aluminum . Thinking it is 22 x 19 that was with the truck when i bought it . I would trim the core support out and see if a 24 x 18 or 19 would fit . Drove it around a bit this weekend . Street car

New rear wheels
Image
Chassis dyno sceduled Friday @ 10 . Then Chromemolly the following monday. Here is the currents . Added some LED boat lights . Truck had a direct short im the running lights . Everytime i pulled the lights on it blew the fuse . The horn didnt work either . Dash lights had none factory lights scabbed in , so i cut all that out and fixed the factory dash lights . All connections soldered and heat shinked . Put the dash back together and installed new horn and Mikado wheel Everythong is legal except emergency brake , but it think i can still get a sticker Probably end up with a disc on the rear end yoke . I also pulled the old tack and added one of the new auto meter auto sticks . Ready to put tunes in . A/C & heat next . Plate ,, noids and hoses going to Induction solutions coming up . Then power steering .

here are a few

Image

I run a 26 jet on the return line and could be alittle smaller the pressure drops about a 1/16lb with the soleniod opens but other than that works perfect....

After doing it I should have went with the Nitro Daves universal tank. Or if you can figure out how to mount the walbro pump inside the tank it would be WAY cleaner...

Only problem I dont like is while testing it after it gets to about a 1/4 tank the pump can starve. Guess its the -8 lines but with no guage and the tank is foam filled its not a quick look. Probably pull mine back out and make a bolt in sight glass for fuel level.

Well im getting closer and i will top off the tank after every pass . I dri;;ed and tapped a 90 and threaded it foe a Holley carb jet . I then soldered up the jet and drilled a .048 hole in it for the bypass .
