I added "Frank" to my Netflix queue. I'll have to check it out :D. As for the Pimp My Ride LUV, well that is a few years old already and I believe there has been a couple old threads of discussion on it. I am thinking the owner was even a member here and chimed in a little about his truck, what they did and what he wanted to eventually do. It was a '74 Mikado 2wd if I remember correctly. After a little searching, here is the original discussion thread where Neil jumped in eventually.

Here is the MTV page :

Here's a pic of the truck before the pimping:

I just noticed the windshield sticker. I have the same exact one in my nice stock 1980. :D

Here's a pic of the truck after the pimping:

In the movie Frank, the Luv was towards the end of the movie. The new dog owner picked up the dog from the pound and put the dog in the back of the truck. The friends of ours that have the movie said she got it in the $5 bin!!! I am also on the look out for it.

Either a Mazda or it kind of looks like a GMC S:15/ Chevy s:10. But I'm thinking Mazda.

Ahh damn, thought I found one. In my defense, that scene was pretty blurry and shaky.

Yeah it was really good. The guy made it with a budget of $17000, built the car, and the cameras himself. Very cool piece of indy film making.

I have had the Netflix DVD sitting here for a week or so now and haven't got a chance to watch it yet. Is it even worth it?

Oh I think you have to watch it now. Even if it's just to see how bad it is. :)

There were two scenes with the car. One of a power slide and the other of it just driving through town. IF you are wanting to watch it for the car be prepared to sit through a lot of crap and drunks to see about 2 minutes of car.

I don't know if it is available for Netflix streaming, maybe that is why it says unavailable? I have it from the DVD queue. Well I wasn't really going to watch it just for the car, I thought the description looked good so I figured I would watch it.

Maybe I had the only copy available on Netflix. It is on its way back so maybe someone else can see how bad it is.
