I was looking through the JC whitney site and found two listings for the luv doors. was wondering if anyone has tried either of these out? here's the link...http://www.jcwhitney.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?makeId=1000107&productId=3236&catalogId=10101&langId=-1&modelId=1001147&storeId=10101
Mine are in dire need of replacement, and I've seen some others with the same prob.

later,

dennis

i bet door seals from a local home improvemtn store would just as well and probly be cheaper too. You would just have to cut them yourself.

I called JCwhitney and asked for a sample of the door seal to see if it was the correct type. They were the wrong style. No way to make them work either. :(

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

hi there everyone, here is a update to my door seal question....i went to the junkyard to look for a set of door seals for my luv truck , i looked for the honda cars, that hleeking told me about , only to find them striped to the bone. so i started to look at everything that was in the yard, then i saw a true match to my door seal question... they call it a izusu trooper, it was a perfect fit,,, the seal was long enough to fit the door all the way around and all i had to do was cut it at the bottom of the door and glue it together, now i have a very tight seal like when it was new and no more wind noise...i'm a happy camper now.....justcruisin66

use that cheap stick-on weather stripping they sell in 10 foot rolls. i think the medium density stuff would work quite well(i have hi-density and it's a bit hard to close the doors), in 1/2" thick. before, my truck would fog up if the weather even thought about raining, but now it doesn't fog up at all and you can feel your ears pop when you shut the doors :)

yeah alot of components i nterchange from luvs to troopers. And now that i have a trooper and have been looking between the two trucks its amazing to me how much stuff could fit on a luv whith little to no modification.

Dont get the Jc Whitney one, They stink, I bought my luv and the guy had just installed the new weatherstripping and i dosnt fit right at all. I just bought a roll from the local checker store and that works about 400 times better than the Jc Whitney Crap.
