So I finally got everything installed: Offy, Weber 32/36, pacesetter header, Pertronix coil, pertronix ignitor, new cap, rotor, wires, and plugs. I'm trying to get it started and it won't give. It cranks and huffs and backfires back through the carb but won't start. Any advice?

Could be firing order, out of timing. Did you remove your dizzy? If so could be a tooth or two off, maybe even 180 out...,

I never moved the dizzy and had adjusted the timing shortly before the install. The firing order is 1-3-4-2 correct?

I forgot to plug the vacuum advance line on my dizzy, could that be the problem? Unfortunately my battery didn't have enough juice to start the motor so now I have to wait until it's charged.

I got the offy from Mokadeath here on the forums. I bought the header on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CCDOFY

Alright the capped off advance line didn't help. I noticed my fuel pump isn't turning off like it did with the stock carb, it just keeps clicking. Could this be causing the problem? I only capped off the fuel return line, do I need to splice it into the fuel line?

The float bowls appear to be full of fuel, and the jets squirt fuel when I cycle the linkage.

That valve cover looks great, I love the wrinkle finish.

Alright, I changed the plugs again and I was able to get it to rumble for a second or two but still no luck getting it started. Any other suggestions before I just reroute the fuel line in to the cab and burn this piece of shit to the ground?

This might sound really stupid but just do it put a new battery on it or one out of another car im at wrk so i cant go into detail about how this happend to me but i had a similar problem. ........Long story short weber carbs need a certain voltage to hold the choke open try this and let me kno asap

Alright, I got it to run extremely roughly for about 3 seconds. Of course my plugs are already black, oily, and smell like gas again. The inside of my carb is also completely black and my brake MC seems to hiss every once and awhile when I'm trying to start it (Vacuum leak?). I'm definitely getting a spark, and I'm definitely getting fuel (maybe way too much?).

Your stock fuel pump puts out 4-7 psi, Weber says 3 max. Without a fuel pressure regulator you are probably flooding the carb excessively.
