The other day I was driving my truck and the pedal went to the floor with almost no braking power. I tried to bleed brakes, but got almost no fluid out of any of the lines. Could this be a bad master cylinder or brake booster?

Most likely the master.

Yes, just the opposite if thebooster goes out, high, firm pedal. If you aren't losing fluid, it is the MC. Check NAPA.

Found a master cylinder at pick n pull. Pedal on that truck felt good. $12. Brakes now work great. Thanks for the help!!

Make sure you bench bleed the replacement master before installing it, check the length(& adjust) of the piston rod, make sure when you bleed the brakes the engine is running to maintain vaccuum to the booster & prevent damage to the new master.

8O Uh oh, I didn't do any of that. I just stuck her in and started bleeding. Crap! I really didn't know anything about having the engine running while bleeding. Hopefully I didn't damage it.

I've never had the motor running when bleeding brakes. You can "bench bleed " on the truck. Have someone pump the peddle and just bleed it by cracking the lines you screwed into it. I would do that to make sure there is no air trapped up there.

Raidersadie, which pick n pull did you get that brake booster from. I have been to the one in Chico, and the selection of pre 1990 vehicles is getting pretty bad.

A couple fenders are ok. The beds are crap, bumpers crap, windshield good. Mostly engine compartment stuff and drive train. Interiors completely shot. There is an 86 isuzu trooper with a 5 speed and 2.3.

That 86 Trooper has the 5sp that will fit your truck as well as the power steering and front upper control arms.

You are absolutely correct my friend. If I had the funds I would rape and pillage that trooper. One thing I don't understand is, why do I want the upper control arms? What is the benefit of this?
