When I push in the clutch to shift up, the engine revs a couple hundred RPMs higher than when I let off the gas. Any ideas?

Is it a Cali Truck?

Try pulling the wires off the switches operated by the clutch pedal and joining together. CAUTION you may disable neutral start switch.

So far as I know, it's an Oregon truck. I'll give it a try. It's weird though, cuz it just started happening a couple days ago.

Haha. That's what I hear. At least it gives me cruise control at low speeds! What is the normal idle speed? When I first start it up, it idles at about 700-800 rpms. When It's running and finally does slow down from 2500, it'll stick at about 1300 rpms. I haven't gotten a chance to check the clutch sensor thing. That's the one that's up under the dash on the clutch pedal, correct?

The throttle linkage on the carb may be sticking, not letting it return all the way. Lube it with WD-40, inside & out. Also make sure your return spring is strong enough or maybe broken or missing since it just started happening.
