This weekend marks one year since my 72 rolled off the trailer. To be honest the first day wasn't too happy, I had some serious buyers remorse at first. I had bought my truck off cragislist 600 miles away and never saw it in person until it was delivered. It has come a long way in a year and I have learned a lot more about Luvs than I ever planned on knowing. I have had many flashbacks to my 76 stepside that I drove in the 80's as a field tech. The most notable is when driving in the rain with the defroster cranked and it is doing little or nothing for the fogged up windows.
So after a year I now have 3 Luvs in the driveway (2 for parts) and have been gathering other parts to make the 72 mine. I have the end result in my head and am planning on starting a makeover as soon as whats left of parts truck #3 gets hauled off.
Considering this started out as a truck to go to home depot in, I have come a long way.
I am lucky to have this site and all of the great information and other Luv owners to learn from. Thanks everyone for sharing!
