i am still considering buying some land out in SD or Wyoming and making myself a personal motocross track and some 4x4 trails and calling myself set for a while.
270 acres to tear up would be great!
hell see if you can find some coilovers and fab up a suspension lift and say screw the body lift?

The 270 acre is not my land but i know the owners lol....Also i am going to make it easyer on my self and do a body lift and later i will either do sas or somthin.

But for now lets stick to simple.

Ok guys today my buddy came to my house and we droped my engine in and got it bolted up.

We had a hard time geting it back out because the input shaft was rusted to the engine, So we hooked a chain to the jeep and to the rear of the luv, Then to the motor mounts and to his chevy bumper and he used his truck to pull and finaly the motor came out. Then we broke a bolt on the flywheel,Then finaly after alot of pushing and pulling and shaking its finaly in.

All thats is needed now is to bolt the carb carb, spark plugs, wires, cap, oil, radiator, belts, and hoses then it should be running.

I will get pictures later.

Let me know how that goes. I'm about to buy a Honda CRF230. As soon as I save up some more money I'm gonna put some DOT approved lights, a mirror, and some dot approved tires on it and try to get a title. Do you just need a VIN verification?

Sry to jack your thread man. :signhijacked

you would have to look it up locally it varies by state.. sadly i went to the DMV today and foundout that in WA yo ucant title a motorcycle that was EVER an offroad vehicle i nwashington as a dual sport. those little CRF230's scoot pretty good... why not do that with an XR400? MUCH cheaper, same basic engine just bigger. will run FOREVER!! my dad has had his since like 1995 and beat the hell out of it the whole time and it is STILL running. new timing chain and its still going.
im gonna have to custom fabricare a new frame and get it titled as a dual sport.... i'll just make it close to the same as the original with modifications for a bigger engine.. same plastics and parts,,

sorry to jack the thread! back to you

lol nice XD i was thinking about trying to find a 2wd luv to throw a chevy 302 into... or a 383... either way its just a modded 350
that little 4 cylinder gets my luv flyin and drifting i can hardly imagine the difference with a V8  V8 drift luv 8) that sounds like fun.

you could probably wheelie a luv with a 383 if you had the right setup, go for it!

383 stroker/tko 5 speed/4:56 gears/traction bar with some wide street slicks. i could prob pull a wheelie lols.

Either that or a 383/350/4:56 gears Got to figure some way to keep the truck straight lol!

Right now i sold the blazer for $2200 made a $500 profit and i bought a 1997 jeep cherokee.

It is a 1997 jeep cherokee,4 door, auto, 4x4, has 1440,078 mile cold blowing ac,heater works great also, cruise control...ect...!

Haha, "lil" bro... HE'S HUGE!!! He could take me out with his pinky!!!!

Woah, so lets see, you have a Luv, a Cherokee, and a Camaro now!! 8O Nice man!! I hope you added an extra zero in the mileage there, "1440,078" That's a lot of miles!

In the pic of your luv's engine, it looks like you have the intake manifold on already without the carb? It's gonna be a real PITA to get the carb bolted down while the intake is attached to the head.... When I had mine apart I bolted on the carb before installing the intake manifold; just easier that way IMO. :esmile Looking good all around!

hahaha i have the exact same situation XD im like 5' 8 and 175... "little" brother is like 6'3 and like 310  we have some epic boxing matches....

the 4.0 cherokees are epic, loads of torque, my uncle has 2 of em, cousin rolled one so we hacked off the roof welded up a 2" square tube roll cage and made a rock crawler on 37's

the carb isnt too bad bolted on, it just takes an extra minute to get the back left bolt on and off, i had to do it that way like fifteen times between gettign the float level right, switching carbs between the two, and all that... it is SO MUCH EASIER with a weber!!!

Yea it sucks i need like $60 and the luv could be running...Right now i am kinda broke so the luv is still going to sit for awhile. My jeep is a 1997 cherokee and it is so awsome it has more hp and torque than my k5 did! 190 hp and 235 lb torque. 4x4 works awsome and the ac works great. i just got done washing the jeep because we are going camping so that will be fun! i will get some update here next few days!

Well there is NO update on my dam luv truck.....I bought the 1997 jeep cherokee a couple months back and i have not done anything to my luv......All it needs is minor things like (spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, belts, hoses, carb gasket, valve cover gasket, oil, oil filter, anti freeze, ect......) all the minor things to get it running and set the timing.

That isn't much to get done. You should take a day and get it finished. You'll like the LUV alot once you get to driving it. Good luck.
