I am new to the Luv scene so I am learning alot as I go, and of course what I read on here. I was in the process of swapping from weld drag lite to some newer wheels when I noticed that the wheel were not going on all the way. The hubs have a radius going down to where the drum slides on and it was preventing the wheel from going back to the drum. I took them to my machinist who checked it out and squared off the radius after the thickness was checked to make sure we had enough metal to remove and still be safe and strong. With the deepest offset whell and cutting the radius down the tires are tucked pretty nice. This is on a 1975 Luv with the drums on front. This maybe old news to alot of you guys but this is new to me but I am pleased with the results. Yes, I run Low 6's with drums but with the help of disc on the back it does quite well.

Its a local shop here in my home town called ESCOFAB. For the lathe work and redrilling the drums and hubs was $175. I imagine just the redrilling would be around $100. I can find out. Im located in south Alabama, right on the Florida line.

Yeah, I love The South!

and I am definatly on a budget.......nothing on that truck was bought new.....and we got 6 teens out of it last year on hand-me-down parts LOL

I would rather keep the drums on it for weight, the s10 stuff is too heavy. My drums are in like new shape and with out the right proportion on the brakes I can slide the skinnies so I think I got all I need for now.
