hey everyone just bought a luv and i have an engine swap ?

my buddy owns a 84 supra and he is doing a 7m swap on it and he said i can have his 5m well considering luv has around 2.5 hp i thought it would be a fun swap to do but i was just curious on how much of a pain its goin to be and if anyone has done this swap or even a 7m swap cause the 5m and 7m are damn near the same engine any info is greatly apretiated

likely you will need to go to a electric fan for more space.

other than that, i hope you have a 2WD truck?


before you start riping and taring do some tape measuring, and see if it will clear the fire wall to RAD and hood to frame space.

It will be a tight fit, you most likely need to cut the firewall. Its like putting 10 lbs of shitin a 2 lbs sack. Like its been said a million times here, just small block it.

i agree with luvrv8
the v8 is much easier. BUT i was thinking about the exact same swap X^D you WILL have to modify your firewall to put in that straight 6 but once it was done it would be an epicly fast little truck. and since a luv is actually lighter than a supra it would make an incredible sleeper.

yeah i finaly got it to my house and was lookin at the space i dont think i wana go that route ima just put it in a celica i think ima do a ka24 swap

hey man if its worth the thought ive heard of people making the 5m swap in a first get toy and they dont got much room either so i got to say go for the 5m swap if it dont go in, it dont go in.plus i would be cool to see it!!

hell go buy some sheet metal and cut the fire wall and re make one that will fit around the engine
