I am in Iraq doing a tour been a while since writing a post so hi to everyone I have not chatted with for a while. Hi guys for those who dont know me I have been following this site since high school like in 2002 still love the luv's
but yeah I am really wanting a luv when I get back from my tour which will be next year I had to sell mine about year and a half ago had invested money into a lot of cool parts such as aerospace brake kit, mustang II rack and pinion, QA1 coilovers
I like the combo 350sbc with the 700r4 it seemed to do really well even with the s-10 rear end

I know the s-10 rear end is not the strongest but I am not wanting ridiculous horsepower
I live in oregon still would like to get another luv i am going to save some money toward one
while over here have a little fund when i come back stepsides are cool but i would cool with a reg
fleetside i guess you would call it. well I just wanted to vent on this

I have not been able to finish one up yet due to finances usually and the good thing is i am single
but yeah id like to hear from you all

so how does 240hp/280ft lbs sound in a luv i think its not bad really considering it started out with what 80hp it would probably be sufficient for being fast what and the weight of the luv is like 2400lbs with original engine??? I am thinking of going with a buick 3.8 supercharged engine/drivetrain

the 3.8 would fly in a luv. great setup
and yep my chilton manual says 2450lb curb weight so 240/280 would be perfect and streetable in a luv

lottt of luvs on the portland and salem area craigslists, shouldnt be a problem finding one when you get back. good luck out there

yeah hazardous duty pay haha put to good use! yeah now that is cold there yikes talk about hard starting an older truck there!!!! well it has poured all throughout the day here northern Iraq weird to say it does rain here off and on not like oregon well today it reminded me of oregon haha. I took out one of our mrap vehicles to test drive it with mine rollers on the front and went through some deep puddles the mrap stands about 17' tall and i managed to get water to go over the top  yeah..... if I can soon i have it on my ipod i will try to post it up it was fun!!! sometimes soldiers need to have fun too though not everyday we get to drive one!

I emailed the guy about the truck hopefully he still has it would be a good deal I think
