This happened about 5 min from my house today.

Can you imagine cruising down the road on a nice sunny day one second and then seeing a truck heading for you the next? The poor guy probably didn't even have time to react. It's a construction zone so most of the freeway doesn't have a shoulder, no where to go. My guess is that one of the reasons he got away was because he ran 1 block east to the Home Depot which, at any given time, has about 25-50 "day workers" hanging out in the parking lot that he could blend in with.

Yea, I saw that on the news last night. Not cool. Especially that he got away. I hope they find and hang the creep.

Last year there was 3 times more motorcycle accidents than usual in my area and twice as many bikers killed. It really makes you think when you hop on your bike to go for a ride. I used to be really relaxed riding my bike, now I'm so tense and on the look out for everything around me, its just not as much fun as it used to be. Its bad enough in a car or truck because they are some many idiots doing stupid things on the roads.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the bikers family and I hope they catch and hang the bastard that did it.

You always had to watch out for the other guys. Safer to ride as a group.

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.
