What (or is there) is the difference between the 72-75 and 76+ 1.8l? i noticed that intakes and headers are usually sold for 76-82 and NOT 72-75, so obviously the head would be different right? if so is there an easy way to tell the difference?

76 up have the intake and exhaust manifolds on the opposite sides of the engine...

are you sure? i'm not doubting you... i just found several pics of 76-82 trucks with the configuration the same as my 75.... 75 should have intake on passenger and exhaust on driver right? or did someone do a motor swap to mine that i don't know about?

here it is, the motor mounts have been modified and/or moved as well.... aftermarket electric fuel pump setup on it too...

so some did a motor swap or you have a 76 model year luv built toward the end of 1975... what bumper is on it... small or big?

lol, there are no bumpers on it at all.... it's front drum brakes tho and the emission label says 75, and there are TWO sets of motor mounts on it.... the front left one has been torched off for oil filter clearance it seems...

that's what im thinkin after this little tidbit of research, seems to be for the better tho, i'm ok with that, i pulled this little gem out of a field for free and i'm just gettin it runnin to have a cool old beater truck!
