I did the throttle linkage with stock parts and one small piece of angle iron. Before I removed the stock parts I took a measurement of the distance between the cable bracket and the throttle level and used that to locate the cable bracket on the manifold. The return spring arm is mounted as it is on the stock manifold with the top part rotated 180 degrees, in stock configuration the 2 bolts would be behind the arm. I cut off the adjustment screw (can be left on) and the lever that was rivited on (it interfered with the choke linkage) on the throttle arm. The throttle cable bracket is the stock one from the carb, with some of the top cut off to clear the #4 runner on the manifold and the part that has the screw hole that mounts at the bottom of the choke just because it was sticking up and there was no need for it. Then I welded it UPSIDE DOWN to a small piece of angle with a tab bent down to keep it from twisting. If you don't have a welder a couple small screws will work. The pictures do most of the talking so I kept it short and will answer questions if anyone has them.

That is the stock mount for the throttle cable that is part of the carburetor and is attached with 2 screws at the choke.

It's the throttle return spring bracket from the old Hitachi, you could go without it and rely on the spring on the Weber, but I like more tension on it and know it will return to idle.
