I was wondering if anyone knew why my rear glass is reflecting what I see coming at night. Uhh hard to explain... but at night when I am driving down the road and I look into my rear view mirror all I see is the roadlines and cars in the lane coming toward me.

Any glass guys here?

Same problem here. I try to just use the side view mirror instead. Would tinting the back window help? I even thought maybe installing an auto-dimming rear view mirror might help also?

I think Car and Driver complained about that in their comparison test in 1977. Not sure why the LUV is worse that other stuff.

I forgot to add, I took my truck to get a quote on weatherstripping and window channels and while there I had asked if they knew what was wrong. Of course the "professionals" had no clue what to even say about it.

My Luv has got the slider window, but I know what you are talking about with the reflection.

I thought the tint made it worse for me. Ended up pulling the tint off the rear glass. Just sucks when the sun beats on the back of my head.

What you need to do is tilt the mirror so that it reflects into the eyes of the guy tailgaiting you (cause you know these trucks are too slow to get out of anyone's way).

I always figured it was just part of driving a standard-cab pickup. However, as I think about it it's got to be because the mirror is in just the right location to see the reflection off the rear window. I wonder if the mirror was moved up or down a couple of inches...
