I have decided to go with a abc as opposed to a LS engine simply because I have a good 350/350 just sitting there in my yard. It has a throttle body on it, and I want to put a carb on it. Problem is with all the info I have read about all the swaps that have been done, I don't know which intake and carb to use. It is a 1987 Suburban. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I should ask if there is a thread that covers this.

Most any carbed abc intake should work...

Thanks guys, I thought I was going to go with a LS motor for a while. I'm just going to pull this 350/350, go through it or not and stick it in there. I feel a little intimidated by the fact that two badass trucks have been built in my area Hotrod 80 and Wicked Mayhem, and mine is still sitting here. One of these days Alice, right to the moon.

HOTRODGOSSIP.com classifieds has a lot of used speed equipment. I'll search for a used Victor Jr. and a 600 carb. I shouldn't need any more than that, but I'm thinking about an Rv cam.

I haven't been paying attention to intakes and carburetors for a while now, and am curious to know why a Performer is better for my application than a Victor Jr. I'll make a guess, the Performer has better response through the low end, and Vic Jr. is for high or racing applications. If anybody can tell me it would be much appreciated.

I just went to Edelbrock's web site and got my answer. Right now the last thing I need is a Victor Jr which comes on at 3500 and goes to 8500 rpm. They also have some vids that explain everything to need to know about installing a carburetor that includes transmission info and linkage, which they sell, filters, an fittings anodized, chrome ect. Thanks for the heads up about the intake manifold.

sorry I didnt get to reply earlier, I have limited net access.

but for exactly what you pointed up there... the RPM range that the Intake manifold will be useful to.

For a fairly stock motor, its hard to beat the dual plane performer,

:D A.j.
