i was looking at the bed of my truck a few nights ago while i was anchoring my tow tools box in the back, and i got to thinking.

how feasible would it be to make a transporter-like truck bed where the sides come down so as to make a flat bed? i know the wheel wells need to be adressed, but i mean, i dont think it would be all that difficult.

some opinions?

I think a flat bed using the stock sides would be convenient. It would only be 6-8 inches deep, but that wouldn't be a big deal. And you could build some storage wells into the bed, with hinged covers--possibly in front of the wheels--or even all the way across the front of the axle.
