ok... WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE WORLD!!!
my friend (of course with no license or insurance) just took hey little mitsubishi mighty max and tried driving it over to my house... slipped off the brake and floored the gas pulling into my driveway, drove through my garage door and ripped it off the runners and slammed into my LUV, pushed it acrost the garage and smashed it into my washer and dryer.... WHY MUST THE WORLD BE SO CRUEL!!!
*front bumper is trashed, hood is bent, grill is broken, headlight bezel broke (light is fine) tailgate is totally bent in, havent moved it to survey the full damage to the rear end yet...
and of course since neither truck is insured the damage is going to be hell to pay for...

i will take pictures later tonight...

frikkin renters insurance.... trying to avoid my landlord finding out... so the girls parents are just relpacing my garage door tonight. thank god is was someone who knew how to fix the damage.
turns out i might even begetting the damaged parts replaced by them as well (totally to avoid insurance issues sine it was an unlicensed driver in an uninsured truck X^D so hopefully it will be all good soon

ok update time...
the damage wasnt as horrible as i originally thoguht once i got it all cleaned up and got the garage door off the roof...
the hood is bent a bir in one spot from inpant of the other truck but not to the point where i cant fix it with a ball peen and a block, none of my lights were broken, but the passenger side headlight bezel is cracked in half on the top side but still in place, the tailgate is garbage since it bent around my washing machine and the front bumper and grill arent savable. but other than that the luv will live on to be loved another day. with a few trips to pick-n-pull any maybe ctmandu's shop it should be all good to go soon =)

hey cat if your readin this how much would... a pass side light bezel, front bumper, grill and tailgate run me?

ok i finally got some pictures uploaded













wit the driveline taken out teh washing machine ended up becoming my new brake... eh it kinda worked? im sure it saved me ALOT of front end damage since the truck was able to move back after it was hit

anmd no the door didnt get on the roof when it was hit we moved it there from between the trucks so we could move the other one out of my garage

im about to start the rebuild and such with a new motor and everything. (turns out my ignition and fuel pump are out of a john deere tractor but the pump is the same as stock... crazy right?
im going to start a build forum on the truck in the next couple days so heads up on that =)

When I first got my Luv, a friend backed up and hit a tree. The rear bump was already in bad shape, so not to big of deal. However I decided to get a little beefer and put a pipe bumer on the rear. I have a rock guard on the bottom front, but I want to put a pipe on the front as well.

nice. for my new front bumper i cut the skin off my tailgate and flattened out the bends and dings from the hit folded the top and bottom edge back.
right now it measures 9' tall and 51" wide rectangle with the "chevrolet" part just below the top of the bend. im gonna use some of the metal from the other side of the tailgate to make the curves and a bit more length on each side, drill holes to mount it on the original bumper mounts and mount in the blinkers and license plate
i figured i might as well recycle the original metal if i can and save it for fill panels in case i want to do work on it later to save some $$$ on this whole project
towing it to my dads tomorrow to do the engine rebuild will be posting pics on sunday in a new thread

the bishi is alright. bent the sad little plastic bumper, bent the hood, broke a light, snapped a tie rod and bent a rim so i think it got the worst part atleast my luv still would have been drivable if the new engine was in it.
