Well after 50 years of seeing with one eye I decided to get a cornea transplant. Had it done Monday. Now Ijust hope it works. They said it might not since it has been so long the nerves might not regain the ability to send signals to the back of the brain were vision is made.
Hope so, won't know how to act if it does. No more being blind sided if you know what I mean

Cool.
Over at Heavy Transport, where I used to work, they have a truck driver and pilot car driver that are both blind in one eye. So we would always put them together on a load so they have one good set of eyes between the two of them. 8O :ebiggrin
And when eyeballing the tape to check demensions, we would tell either one of them, make sure you use your good eye.

been 3 weeks now and they put a low power contact on and I could read the 4th line down for the first time. looks like it is gonna work. Go back in 3 weeks to check again.
looks like the wait was worth it.

Awesome!
I just had my eyes checked and a 'floater' was found in my left eye just off the center of my vision. Was told nothing can be done and I'll just have to deal with the occassional blind spot! :( Not good when trying to land a radio control airplane........
Keep us up to date.

Wearing a rigid contact on my eye. Went from 20 500 to 20 50 in the bad eye.

Now i am sitting here in the hospital since yesterday with heart pains. Getting a heart cath at 7 in the morning. Price ya pay for getting old I guess or eating to much of the good stuff LOL.

Always something. Gonna have to slow down I guess between doing three jobs.
